With Spring Training under way and the first game being played on Saturday, baseball season is upon us. We’re hoping the Atlanta Braves can repeat their success from a year ago. Let’s all support Braves as they have released their promotional schedule for 2019. Check out the release below and hopefully you’ll be able to join the Braves on some of their great giveaways.
The Atlanta Braves unveiled their promotional schedule for the upcoming 2019 season at SunTrust Park. Highlights of the promotional schedule include five bobbleheads, including one honoring the 80th birthday of longtime Braves icon, Walter Banks, an Ozzie Albies replica chain giveaway on June 19, T-Shirt Tuesdays, the 10th annual Alumni Weekend August 16-18, Star Wars Night on May 17, and Los Bravos on September 6. New this upcoming season are kids-only gate giveaway items for every home Sunday game (ages 14-and under). The Braves home opener is slated for Monday, April 1, against the Chicago Cubs.
From bobbleheads to a Freddie Funko POP! figurine, the 2019 promotional schedule includes more than 13 gate giveaways. The first bobblehead will be Ronald Acuña Jr.’s on April 26 marking the one-year anniversary of his first Major League homerun followed by Josh Donaldson’s bobblehead on May 16. On June 11, fans will get a “Swanberson” bobblehead, a mashup bobblehead of Dansby Swanson and Charlie Culberson. The team will celebrate Walter Banks’ 80th birthday with his bobblehead on July 5. The final bobblehead will be Ozzie Albies’ helmet slide and will be featured on two nights, July 23 and July 24.
Every Sunday the team will have a kids-only gate giveaway for children ages 14 and under. The items include miniature bobbleheads of The Home Depot Tools, a Freddie Freeman jersey, Braves socks, and a lunchbox and a backpack in July for back-to-school. As part of these giveaways, Hope & Will’s Sandlot will be free for kids on Sundays during the regular season.
The team has several new ticket offers for 2019, including Coca-Cola Wednesday, in which fans can purchase a $15 Home Run Porch ticket for any Wednesday game during the regular season; the Chop House Ticket Package for $20, includes a general admission ticket and $10 added value to use towards concessions or retail; and a T-Shirt Tuesdays ticket package starting at $23, which features a new Braves T-shirt each month. One of the T-shirts in the ticket offer features a sketch of Braves Hall of Famer Dale Murphy wearing the team’s iconic 1980s-era powder blue uniform.
Terrapin Taproom Tuesdays returns this season, and includes a ticket, three 12 oz. beers and a meal catered by Fox Brothers BBQ before the game for $65. The team is bringing back College Nights for the upcoming season with schools and dates to be announced in the near future.
Every weekend at SunTrust Park throughout the regular season, fans will be treated to Friday Night Fireworks presented by Georgia Lottery, Alumni Sundays presented by Hyundai, and Kids Run the Bases presented by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. There will also be a postgame concert series which will be announced at a later date.
