Snoop Dogg is as legendary as you can get when he comes to a rapper. No Limit Top Dogg was Snoop’s fourth album and second on No Limit was released 20 years ago today. With the debut No Limit album, Snoop had more of the No Limit sound and a lot of people didn’t like it. For me, Da Game is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told was a dope album and had some bangers on there. No Limit Top Dogg was more of the original Death Row Snoop Dogg sound. No Limit Top Dogg went on to sell two millions records and Snoop had a slew of features on the album. Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, Xzibit, Suga Free, Sticky Fingaz from Onyx, Goldie Loc, Warren G and Raphael Saadiq were on the album. No Limit Records was also represented on the album.
C-Murder, Mystikal, Mia X, Silkk the Shocker, Fiend and Magic all represented No Limit. Bitch Please with Xzibit and Nate Dogg, Down for my Niggaz featuring C-Murder and Magic are two of Snoop’s all-time hits. Production was handled by Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, KLC, and Meech Wells amongst others. Buck Em, Trust Me, In Love with a Thug, Somethin Bout Yo Bidness, Ghetto Symphony, Don’t Tell and I Love My Momma are other dope tracks. Overall this is one of the better Snoop album and one that should be in your collection. Peep the track listing below and it’s followed by the stream link.
