Lloyd Banks Hunger for More Turns 15 Years Old

Who remember Lloyd Banks from those earlier G-Unit mixtapes? The major label debut, Hunger for More by Lloyd Banks came out 15 years ago today. On this date 15 years ago, Lil Wayne dropped his fourth album, Tha Carter. During this period, 50 Cent had a plan and it came out perfectly. After the success of Get Rich or Die Trying and the G-Unit album, Lloyd Banks was up next. After Banks was featured on the single, Smile from Beg for Mercy it was on. On Fire was his first single off Hunger for More. The single showed fans that Lloyd Banks could hold his own by himself. I’m So Fly was his second single, and this is straight heat. I’m So Fly have been a Throwback Thursday feature before and one of my favorite tracks.

On I’m So Fly Banks killed the track with his crazy flow. Lloyd Banks actually released one more single off Hunger for More. Karma was the title of that last single. Honestly, it felt like a continuation of Smile, which isn’t a terrible thing. Karma was a track for the ladies, but instead of 50 Cent doing the hook, it was Kevin Cossom. In the video, Avant was on the hook. Hunger for More had an all-star lineup as features. 50 Cent, The Game, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg appeared on the album. Ain’t No Click, Warrior, I Get High, Warrior Pt. 2, When the Chips Are Down, Til the End and Southside Story are my favorite tracks along with the singles. Below is the track listing and the stream link.
