Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 7 NFL Prediction

Welcome to Week 7 of the NFL season as we continue despite some positive Covid tests. We are down to three undefeated teams and the New York Jets is the only one without a win. My record last week was 5-1 and my overall mark goes up to 36-17. The winning percentage jumped from 66 to 67.9% in the process. My only came when the Arizona Cardinals beat the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night. The Cardinals used the Cowboys mistakes against them on their way to a 38-10 win. The Thursday night game puts two 1-win teams against each other. The big game will put two of the three undefeated teams against each other as the Titans host the Steelers. This week I’ll be predicting a total of 7 games with the hopes of continuing my winning ways.

We have the New York Giants traveling to Philadelphia to battle the depleted Eagles. The Giants got their first win last week as they beat the Washington Football Team. Even though it was their first win of the season, the Giants defense isn’t that bad. With the Cowboys playing horribly and being in a bad division, the winner could take over first place. Can the Giants make it two wins a row? Philadelphia has dealt with more injuries than any team in the league. They’re missing four offensive linemen, two top WRs and now Zack Ertz is slated to miss the next month. If that wasn’t enough, their top running back Miles Sanders is slated to miss this game. Philadelphia will get Desean Jackson back for this one and they’ll find a way to win. Philadelphia Win 31-27

We have the battled of teams that’s undefeated as the Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Tennessee to battle the Titans. The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off of destroying the Cleveland Browns. The Steelers have one of the best defenses in the league. Big Ben is playing some of his best ball of his career as the passing game has been on point. James Connor is running the ball like he’s motivated, which makes the Steelers a scary team. As far as Tennessee goes, they’re coming off a tough overtime victory over the Houston Texans. In that game, Derrick Henry rushed for over 200 yards and he should be mentioned in the MVP conversation. The Titans defense isn’t as good as the Steelers, but they’re effective. In a tough game, I’m picking the Steelers to win a close one. Pittsburgh Win 30-27

We head down south for a huge NFC South matchup. The Carolina Panthers travel to New Orleans to battle the Saints. Carolina had their 3-game winning streak ended last week against the Chicago Bears. Teddy Bridgewater left New Orleans to sign a 3-year deal during the offseason with Carolina. The Panthers are hoping to get back on track and keep up with Tampa Bay in the process. New Orleans is hoping to turn their season around. The Saints are hoping to have their all-pro WR Michael Thomas back for this one. If New Orleans are going to make a run, they need to start now with a win over a divisional opponent. Can the Panthers upset the Saints on the road? How will Bridgewater play in his return to New Orleans? I’m picking the Saints to win this one. New Orleans Win 34-24

We head out west for this critical matchup of playoff hopefuls. The Seattle Seahawks head to Arizona to battle the Cardinals. The Seahawks remain the only undefeated team in the NFC. Arizona is coming off beating down the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night. If the Cardinals are going to challenge Seattle in the NFC West, they must win this game. Russell Wilson is looking like the frontrunner for the league MVP as of now. D.K. Metcalf is proving that he’s quickly becoming one of the best WRs in the league. The Seahawks defense is still a work in progress. Arizona’s defense is starting to build some momentum as they’re pressuring the QBs. The secondary is becoming one of the best in the league. This is a game to show the world that Arizona is serious and I think they’ll win. Arizona Win 31-24

We head back to the east as the San Francisco 49ers travel to New England to battle the Patriots. Jimmy Garoppolo returns to New England for the first time since he was traded to San Francisco. The 49ers ended their 2-game losing streak by beating the Rams last week. Will that win be a momentum builder that the former NFC champs need? New England looks to be in trouble as the offense can’t get anything going. Cam Newton didn’t look like himself after being tested positive for the coronavirus. With the Bills losing two games in a row, New England is back in contention in the AFC East. Can Bill Belichick frustrate Jimmy Garoppolo enough to ground the Niners offense? Can the Patriots offense muster up enough offense to win this game? I’m going with New England to come away with the win. New England Win 25-20

This is the Sunday night game as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off one of the most impressive defensive performances of the year. They shut down and frustrated Aaron Rodgers the entire game as they beat the Green Bay Packers 38-10. The Raiders are coming off their bye week and they should be feeling good. Las Vegas went to Kansas City and handed them their first loss of the season. If the Buccaneers offense can catch up with the defense, this could be a dangerous team. Can Derek Carr play another flawless game against this Bucs defense? Tampa Bay is on a roll and there’s no reason to pick against them now. Tampa Bay should leave Las Vegas with the win. Tampa Bay Win 27-17

We have the Monday Night game between NFC playful hopefuls as the Los Angeles Rams host the Chicago Bears. The Bears are currently 5-1 and lead the NFC North by a half game over the Packers. Nick Foles is getting praise for coming in and doing a good job with the offense. If anything, the defense of the Bears is proving they’re one of the best in the league. Khalil Mack is showing that he’s one of the best pass rushers in the NFL. They will need to pressure Jared Goff if they want to leave with the win. Los Angeles is coming off their second loss of the season as they fell to the 49ers on Sunday Night. Aaron Donald wasn’t as dominating as usual and that could spell trouble for the Bears. I’m picking the Rams to edge the Bears. Los Angeles Win 24-23
