Being the father of 2 African American young ladies, it’s hard to find skincare products that’s just for them. To be honest, I’ve been shopping for my damaged and dry skin for years. They are all about taking care of their skin and staying on top of the condition of their hair. We have tried everything imaginable and spent so much money in the process. Fortunately, these days there are more entrepreneurs than ever. If there is something you want or need, most likely someone has started a business that specializes in it. My youngest daughter has fought eczema and various skin issues for years. Unfortunately, my issues with sensitive skin were passed onto her and it can be frustrating. In Charlotte, North Carolina there is a black-owned business called Joe-Le Soap that provide a lot of products for skin issues.
About Joe-Le Soap
They provide soaps, body butter, hair treatments and lip conditioners. The best part is that none of it contains chemicals or irritants. Like other skin and hair products, Joe-Le soaps doesn’t contain synthetic fragrances or artificial ingredients. The soaps are naturally scented and have a natural ph balance. All the products are handmade in small batches, plus they’re vegan and paraben-free and contain raw, organic ingredients. The body butters is premium essential oils that gives off a natural and light scent. With the safe ingredients, this soap will exfoliate and soften your skin. The soaps contain sodium hydroxide as a base which helps to naturally shape the soap. The product doesn’t get tested on animals. The natural products is good for anyone with moderate to serious skin sensitivities like Eczema. Below are the products we tried out for ourselves.
The Soaps
The Cedarwood Coffee Bar with Rosemary is good with fighting acne. Rosemary also helps with reducing under eye bags. Cedarwood and rosemary essential oils are great for the skin. The espresso coffee is great for skin tightening and helps with fine lines. Organic ingredients include olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter and cacao powder amongst other things. The other kind we tried was the Rosewater and Lavender Bar. This bar is great for hydration and revitalizing your skin. The Rosewater is great for balancing the skin’s oils. It’s also great for diminishing wrinkles and fine lines, which is something that’s needed for me. Known to have skin brightening and healing properties, this meticulous formula can help even out skin texture. This bar is also good for brighten complexion giving the skin a beautiful glow. The lavender essential oil is great for stress reduction and help in sleeping.
Face Scrub
Face scrubs are vital to your skin health. They exfoliate dead skin cells, prevent future breakouts, and prevent aging amongst other things. The Himalayan Rose Sugar Scrub is an antioxidant, hydration, exfoliation, and skin revitalization powerhouse. The rose oil in this scrub balances the skins oils and helps with fine lines and wrinkles. The Hibiscus is a great exfoliate and it helps to tighten the skin and prevent acne. It also helps brighten the skin and controls inflammation. My daughter says she can feel it working on the skin as soon as she applies it.
