In 1998, No Limit Records was the hottest hip hop label in the world. Silkk the Shocker, C-Murder, Young Bleed, and the I Got the Hook Up Soundtrack all dropped at the start of 1998. All those joints dropped before the end of April. You know that Master P was dropping a new album damn near every other week. There’s One in Every Family dropped 25 years ago from Fiend. This was Fiend’s debut album on No Limit Records and it’s one of my favorite No Limit albums. Fiend made a name for himself by appearing on Ghetto D, Life or Death, Charge It 2 Da Game and other No Limit joints. There’s One in Every Family became another No Limit album to go at least gold. The only single released off the album was the first track called Take My Pain.
Take My Pain featured Master P, Silkk the Shocker & Sons of Funk. The track is one of my favorites off the album. The usual No Limit soldiers made appearances on the album, but UGK was also featured. I’ve said for years that Fiend and Mac were my favorites from the No Limit days. After all these years, this album still is hard to me and one that still gets much play. Check out the track Take My Pain up above. Below are my top 5 tracks, track listing to the album and stream link.
