Who Walks Away with the NFC East in 2019?

Who Walks Away with the NFC East in 2019?

We kicked things off with the AFC East and I’m thinking New England will continue their dominance.  Let’s head over to the NFC East and see how thing will turn out in 2019. Many people think this will be a 2-team race between the Eagles and Cowboys. One thing we know about this division throughout the years is that we don’t know. Philadelphia and Dallas made the playoffs last year and the Redskins were there throughout the season. Who will win the NFC East division this season?

Dallas Cowboys

Just like every offseason, there was a lot of drama surrounding the Cowboys organization. When free agency hit, they signed DeMarcus Lawrence to a $100 million dollar contract. The major issue the Cowboys are facing is what to do with their three stars on offense. Dallas have been negotiating with Dak Prescott for months and no deal have been reached. Amari Cooper is entering the final year of his rookie contract and he’s looking for a new deal. Ezekiel Elliott is also looking for a new deal and he’s holding out until he gets a new contract. Will Elliott get a new deal, holdout until an agreement is made or miss the entire season? Will Dak get a new deal? If he doesn’t, how will it effect their franchise QB? The Cowboys have a lot of questions that need to be answered and it could affect them.

New York Giants

New York have been struggling the last few years and it forced them to make changes. Odell Beckham Jr. was traded to Cleveland in a blockbuster and surprising deal. Landon Collins ended up in Washington, which was surprising also. Collins was thought to be the anchor of the Giants defense for years to come. With the declining play of Eli Manning, many thought the QB position would be their top priority. The Giants drafted Daniel Jones with their first round and the fans weren’t pleased. With all the issues with the organization and Eli Manning still at the helm, can they turn things around?

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are hoping to return to their Super Bowl winning ways from a couple years ago. Nick Foles is with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Carson Wentz signed a huge contract extension. Howie Roseman worked magic once again with this roster. They continue to build this Eagles team through the defensive line. They added Jordan Howard via trade, drafted Miles Sanders and brought back Daren Sproles. In another great move, Desean Jackson is back home to help sure up the receiving core. This Eagles team have a stacked roster from top to bottom and look poised to make another run. Can Carson Wentz remain healthy and return to his MVP form?

Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins are building to their future and hope to make noise now. With Alex Smith out for the year, the Redskins drafted Duane Haskins out of Ohio State. Honestly, I’m thinking Haskins could be the truth, but they need to get pieces around him. The star offensive lineman, Trent Williams is holding out for a new contract. Derrick Guice should return after missing his entire rookie season with a torn ACL. Washington traded for Case Keenum to have that veteran presence and also challenge for the starting job. To help with the defense, Washington signed Landon Collins to be the anchor. Can the Redskins surprise people and make a run at the division title?
